Thanks for taking the time to post your vids. I was looking for a "helmut cam" when I found the GoPro and subsequently your vids. I'll be shooting some travel docs in Latin America that will include kayaking and surfing so this looks like the way to go for the watersports. Cheers.

Thanx a lot man for the quick responce, i know about the expansion kits but i thought maybe i could save some money for now ;) . Since it works with the helmet mounts i think i ll go with that for now. Thnx for the tip about the boom i ll try it for sure. Cheers! May the god of waves be with you :D

Hi Gelaris! this was mounted with one of the flat base mounts you get in the Helmet HERO Wide and the Motorsports HERO Wide, they now have the Surf HERO Expansion kits which I would recommend you use on your windsurf board, this is much better for watersports board mounting. You should also get a Ride HERO which you can clamp to your boom! Go get one they are amazing, if you check out my favourites from other people there are some other cool GoPro vids you can check out!

Great vid man!! I see you re using the helmet hero version. Did you have any problems mounting it on your board? Coz i m thinking of buying the motorsport hero and use it for windsurfing as well. Again great vid 5*

You might consider tying a string between the camera and the bike so that you don't lose it if it does come off. I do that when I use the suction cup on the car. Mine came off of my snowboard because the sticky pad didn't make enough contact with the curved and flexing surface. The one on my helmet is absolutely solid, and survived many crashes. Also, be careful. The camera added 300hp to my snowboard. I'm nervous about adding that much power to my bike. ;) Great video, by the way. :)

no issues with the mount, solid as a rock, just make sure your fairing is clean before you stick one of the base mounts on and you can go as fast as you like. have fun!

you get a selection of mounts with the camera, this is the stick on pad, there is also an FCS plug which you can get your local shapper to put in your board or new board. Look for Surf HERO, just out, have fun :)
