What Subaru Should do is make a 2 door version of the current Impreza WRX STi Sedan. Remember the 22b? First Impreza? I'd buy it and Mitsubishi would get hyped up and make a 2 door version of their Evo. The bentley looks dull but that's because it's silver. I'd appreciate it very much if it was black and they should get their new V8 option 2 turbos like what you'd get with the Arnage or the new Mulsanne. And the RB is quite the car to refresh Hyundai's Image. It should replace the Acc "id" ent.

Sure your car may hit 0-60 in 1.9 but if you look at a Bugatti Veyron that car is fully loaded with lush interior, superior safety rating and full range of every amenity you can think of. Also the Bugatti weights 4162 pounds. Almost a full 1000lbs more and its just .3 seconds slower on a 0-60. Its totally an unfair way to compare cars. I could go into other details how its not fair but its not worth it. Overall though I did like the video. Props.

I have to say it looks a hell of a lot better then the hatchbacks! But it's still looks slightly like the hatchback since the trunk is still only big enough for the spoiler to sit on top of. They still need to improve the styling though. It still looks to soft and blah. I had a 06 STI and it looked aggressive and you knew it meant business. They should have never messed with a good thing. The 04 & 06 styles were great!

@Texarmageddon The Sirocco is FWD. Not AWD. Different cars. And the Golf R has a great fuel return considering its a turbo hi-po engine. Much better than WRX or EVO for sure. Golf is probably the greenest of the mid range cars with that sort of 2.0lt turbo performance.

The scirocco is pretty much the same setup and power ratings, but it has a lower curb weight. it pulls 28 mpg( i don't know if thats highway or combined), but I'm trying to figure out if we will be seeing the same times as the scirocco. If so the Golf R will stop selling real quick. People will easily opt out with an sti, evo, mustang, 370z, or camaro. Yet, if it can put out the same Mpg i could overlook the sub-par performance.

we recently performed a multi AWD / 4WD testing @ Lancelin West Australia. Petrol (p) & Diesel (d) vehicals. Toyota Landcruiser 09, (p & d) Toyota Prado 09 (p) Nissan Patrol 09 (p), Mitsubishi Outlander 09 (p), Honda CRV 09 (p), Jeep Cher 09 (p) Subaru Forester 09 (p). Of all the tests performed, the Subaru Forester travelled further in sand, higher up sand incline tests without tyre deflation. Every single other vehicle mentioned could not match the Subaru even with deflated tires at 15 psi.

@crxdelsolsir Guy, 4x4/4WD and AWD are different things. Any truck (landcruiser, pathfinder, etc) will have a transfer case in them, and they will for sure climb the first obstacle. The 1 tire has traction test would also likely pass for all these vehicles for the rear tires, as most have limited slip differentials, but if they did the front tire has traction test, most would also likely fail, as most 'trucks' have open front differentials.

Very interesting video. I can personally verify that Subarus are capable of pulling their full weight up a grade with traction only at either front or rear axle. However, this guy's reasoning for the vehicles' abilities to climb are completely out his ass. The symmetry of Subaru's drivetrain does not meaningfully affect static traction (nor does an assymmetric design meaningfully hurt it on other cars). The design simply improves handling dynamics and reduces torque steer.

I have put my 97 Subaru outback through some crazy tests like off roading on logging trails that we have gotten other trucks stuck on or driving through fields with 12 inches + of fresh snow. I'm not saying that their built for that kind of thing but if you really want them to, they'll pull through. As for winter or wet roads nothing holds a candle to my Subaru.

This is an exact copy of the old aircooled vw beetle engine!, the probem with the design is that all vw engines wear out oval where the crankshaft passes through the casing,this took several years with the petrol engine,can you imagine the stresses involved in a diesel,i think the idea is to lower your tipping point but the engine does not look to have time on its side,the engine will develope major oil leaks and low oil pressure early in its life unless the crankcases are massively beefed up

@bryjb10 E85 is very capable of those power numbers! An FPGreen is basically a smaller 30R so your numbers on 92 are about right. This is a 35R with the Tial exhaust housing, big cams and Cosworth heads. So already our power potential is much higher than a stock engine car, plus the Garett turbos flow much more air than the FP hybrids.

the reason why it surges is because you dont generate enough boost to let out. when you use your bov the rpms are higher and you are creating more boost. Tial is the best unless you like rice or buy a sti because ken block drove one.

I know this because I JUST put a stronger spring in mine the other day (and because I'm not an idiot). Stronger spring made it "surge" like your video...weaker one didn't. Its that simple, and this is libel at its finest.
